Important information about the department
No referral is required for this service. Acute cases are accepted without an appointment; for all other cases, an appointment must be booked in advance.
Children under the age of 14 are only treated in acute cases (e.g. inflammation).
Appointment scheduling
Appointments can be made in person, by phone, online, or through your general practitioner.

Upon arrival, please check in at the patient registration desk.
Only patients with inflammation and eye injuries are admitted without an appointment.
Scope of activity
The following tests are performed by appointment only:
- fundus examination (for conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes);
- prescription of glasses;
- medical fitness assessments (for screen-based work or driving) for a fee;
- consultations;
- visual field testing;
- glaucoma screening;
- cataract screening;
- vision tests;
- annual check-ups.
For diabetic patients: fundus examinations are always performed with pupil dilation. Please inform use about your condition when booking the appointment.
Pupil dilation examinations are performed between 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
These examinations may involve longer waiting times. On the day of the examination, your vision may be blurred and your eyes may be more sensitive to light (driving is not recommended, and elderly patients should be accompanied).
Please note that urgents cases are always prioritised.
