Scope of activities
Medical examinations required for employment:
- Pre-employment: Initial fitness-for-work assessment.
- During employment: Periodic or ad-hoc examinations (e.g. after sick leave exceeding 30 days) or due to a change in job role.
- Jobs requiring a health booklet (e.g., in the food industry).
- OKJ training courses: When examinations are not requested from specialist providers.
- Contracted examinations for institutions and businesses.
- Medical examinations for driving licences (Group I and II): Provided if the patient’s employer has a contract with TESZ for basic occupational health services.
- Medical examinations for firearm licences.
Please note: These examinations are not covered by the National Health Institution Fund of Hungary (NEAK). Payment can be made on-site by cash or card or via bank transfer if a contract is in place, according to Government Decree 284/1997 (XII.23).
Occupational Health Fees from January 2023:
D Category: HUF 20,000/person/year
C Category: HUF 20,000/person/year
B Category: HUF 24,000 /person/year
A Category: HUF 24,000/person/year
Ad-hoc inspections: HUF 20,000 /occasion
